Project Description: Installation of a new window in Saaremaa

Location: Saaremaa
Property Type: Residential house
Scope of Work:
We are looking for a qualified construction company/builder to install a completely new window in an existing wall. The project requires structural verification, cutting the opening, window mounting, and external/internal finishing.

Key Technical Details:

Wall Material: Aerated concrete (Fibo).
Exterior Facade: Plastered facade.
Window Dimensions: 1400 x 1000 mm
Window Supply: The window is already purchased and on-site.

Required Steps for the Contractor:

Lintel Installation: Verify if the wall is load-bearing and install an appropriate lintel (avlastningsbalk) above the new opening before cutting.
Cutting & Demolition: Cut out the new window opening cleanly to minimize damage to the existing plastered facade.
Window Mounting: Install the window using correct fixings specialized for aerated concrete (not standard screws), ensuring proper insulation and vapor barriers.
Facade & Finishing Work: Repair and plaster the exterior window reveals (fönstersmygar) using fiberglass mesh to prevent cracks, matching the existing facade texture. Complete the internal finishing/plastering around the window.
